I would give it a million stars

hey i love this book, i read it once and im reading it again. i love there new theory, the new theory is basically; no more i need your opinion openers. the big boys now teach to say something mundane but say with enthusiasm. in other words say something no impressive but with excitement. for example i got this blue charm bracelet from my dream girl when i was on venice beach. your not hitting on the girl and your not showing no interest. they also teach you kino and bait hook reel release. but its different. to explain with clarity, instead of negging immediately, dont try to vibe with the female and then try a compliance test, if she rejects you then you neg. last thing mystery teaches you so you never need routines again. i just love this stuff.

Great Sophomore Effort…

I’ve read The Mystery Method and The Game from cover to cover probably about three times, and I have to say that this is a great followup effort. It’s a little easier to follow and the tips are great. The premise of moving to the Miami mansion is also a great idea and I just really enjoyed this book. I really recommend it.

Well, I’m happy to say that I got The Pick Up Artist: The New and Improved Art Of Seduction today at my local Barnes & Noble bookstore and I have to say, the stuff in that book is very compelling. I laughed at a few scenes in the book. I swear, a few of them could’ve easily been lifted from a TV sitcom. I only wish I knew who The Rat was. Nevertheless, good book and it definitely makes me want to do a bootcamp and/or one-on-one at some point in the not-so-distant future. Lots of inspiration to be had here.

The book was a pure treat to read. I throughly enjoyed it. For anyone who has read The Game by Neil Strauss, you can consider this the sequel to that book. It picks up the story of Mystery where The Game left off.

Being that I am well-versed in “game” I enjoyed the story aspect of the book more then anything. The insights on Strip Club game will be the biggest treat of tactical information for those have read other books from Mystery and the Venusian Arts.

This book takes a lot of things explained in Revelation and further explains with detail in a very personal way. The book is designed to give you the experience of being trained personally by Mystery as he explains the game to his student Adam. This is put together well as it succeeds in giving you a sense of adventure while you read through the chapters as if you were Adam.

I personally liked the last two chapters that wrap the book up nicely and fit the Venusian Arts in the grand scheme of life. Concepts derived from quantum physics and cosmology are versed quite nicely. I thoroughly enjoyed these insights as I subscribe to the same line of thinking and have contemplated these thoughts in my own mind from time to time.

Overall the book is a great read. I read the first nine chapters in one sitting and finished the last four the next day. The quality of material and explanation of the game rivals that of Revelation while the quantity is a little less. The overall story of the book however keeps the reader enthralled and once the story is concluded, you’ll be wanting more.

The events and stories described in The Game and The Pickup Artist could easily be transformed into a quality movie. Something I think both companies should consider…

I would not be surprised if we see within the next century a movie based on Mystery’s life as we have seen in our past with men such as Casanova and Don Juan…

I enjoyed Mystery’s first book and was really looking forward to this one. He didn’t invent pickup, but us arguably the its biggest innovator. As is mentioned in the book, the majority of the top PUAs were once his students.

I was not disappointed. Read it in a day, but this is the kind of book I’m going to refer to again and again for a while. There is too much here to really absorb at once.

The writing is better than the last one, which makes it flow a lot easier. Didn’t take me long to get through it. The style is very similar to the Bible (yes, THE Bible) in that the lessons are taught via stories. The story is that of a group of pickup artists renting a two million dollar mansion in Miami and living it up. Entertaining, even if you’re not into pickup.

Mystery’s “Method” is four steps:

1. find
2. meet
3. attract
4. close

This book builds on the first one with ways to do all the the above. It also improves on the first one with a better, more organized outline and “just the meat” lists and techniques to follow.

Things like his “Top 10 List” are worth the price of the by book themselves. This is the type of book you’ll want to review before going out. I plan to work through it by taking one section (or list) at a time, hitting the club, and really focusing on it. Doing this, you’ve literally got a year or more of material to work on. It’s that packed.

There are lots of lessons here, all broken down into easy-to-follow steps. Lots of lists, lots of very specific info with “if she does this, you should do this” type of detail.

Those new to pickup will find the glossary helpful, since Mystery coins terms for his different techniques, which you may not know.

Other things I liked about this book:

- Lots of new gambits/scripts to use. Also some variations on gambits/approaches/openers you already know, which will help you keep things fresh, now that everybody has seen Mystery’s VH1 show and is asking, “What movie is this from?!!” Thank god for this, since that stuff is killing pickup. Use this book to help you come up with something original. Lots of good ides here.

- Lots of exercises. As I already mentioned, you can use this entire book as a worksheet for going out and practicing, but if you’re not that creative, have no fear because Mystery includes some very specific exercises you can use.

- Lots of guidelines, checklists, and “steps” to follow. Yes, there really is a “7 Habits of Highly Effective Pickup Artists” list. haha!

- A good list of negs.

If you’re going to go out and put this stuff into action, you will love this book. He really breaks it down and it’s much easier to understand than his previous book. There is a one-year followup of one of his students up lived with him in Miami, so that will help keep you motivated.

If you’re not going to put it into action or have no interest in going to clubs/bars, your results may vary.

Excited to see what happens in the next few months of working with this material!

As long as you’re willing to do a bit of work, I think this book would work well for beginners, but know it’s not a magic formula and there is more to it than just pick up lines. If you really want to be successful at this, you’ll also need to do some internal “mindset” work to rid yourself of the programming we all pickup from parents, religion, and society. For the mindset stuff, I recommend getting your hands on anything by David Deida and a for a female opinion on what females really want, Just F Me by Eve Kingsley.

Good luck!!

Your Game Needs More Mystery!

If you have ever been the guy in the bar or social event who is scared to approach or talk to the beautiful woman in front of you, or you see that amazing woman lightly fondling some fruit in the store and wish you could do something instead of being frustrated without taking action then this book is a must read fro you. Even if you have some level of “game” this book is a must read because the environment changes every day. What worked for you last week may be played out tomorrow. This is the instruction manual for your cool future.

Mystery, Lovedrop and Matador take the seemingly complex and turn the information into easy to understand instructions for better social interaction that can not only be used for social dating but also as part of business.

Even if you are shy or not much of an extravert there are actions that you can learn from this book that will help you attract more women, friends or a better social circle.

This book is very well laid out it is written in a away that is easy to remember. The events are written as stories and you can imagine yourself entering the Mansion in Miami and being part of the social experiment. All of the questions that the char actors have you may have also had or still do have today. The Grey boxes explain how to do attraction gambits or events to signal interest or disinterest and are more of the “how to” guides. Just as important are the stories about Mystery, Lovedrop and Matador. The book is like a soap opera meets a very well scripted how to guide for any guy in just about any situation.

You know deep down inside you have the ability to meet women and get them attracted to you, you also know that if there was a guide to do so you would have it, read it and implement what you have learned. You are in luck here it is. Just remember this is a guidebook and you must do what is in the instruction and implement what you learn or you can go back to being frustrated while the other guys get the girl and you go home to your cat.

This is a greatly improved version of the original Mystery Method book.

One of the best new parts of the book are the scripted openers. A lot of PUA books gloss past this, but for most guys, it’s one of the main reasons they need help in the first place. So it was good to have these little openers in the back of my head and when I used some of them, they worked. That’s worth it right there!

Another of my sticking points also gets some ink: escalation. I can be playful and crack jokes, but if I don’t break the touch barrier and continue to push the interaction into something more physical, it usually doesn’t go anywhere. Or I get a number that goes nowhere. It’s those first five minutes that many guys have difficulty with and with these new chapters, I learned a few new insights that helped overcome my fears of touching and getting close. In some ways, if you DON’T move in that direction, women are left wondering what it is you’re trying to do? Make a new friend? Try our your act? So yeah, very helpful.

Also newly covered is some great advice on inner game. Another sticking point for many, myself included. Again, it’s just getting the nerve to stand up and talk to someone and see where it goes. I even copied a few lines out of the book on a small piece of paper so I can give myself a quick pep talk when I’m in the bathroom. Sounds weird, but it works.

I also appreciate that some of the dense, jargon heavy sections have either been edited or removed (I couldn’t tell which). There are fewer acronyms and slang that make the first book kind of difficult to read. There’s still some of Mystery’s trademark Mystery-isms, but not as many. Mainly, just easier to read and comprehend without feeling it’s over my head or too complicated to put into real world use.

Overall, highly recommended for any PUA in training. Whether it’s Mystery or someone else writing this, its solid advice with workable techinques. Don’t expect a book to solve all of your problems, but use it as a guide with your usual personality and basic common sense.

An Enthralling Read, and Full of Great Info

Very fun read! Contrary to what other reviewers have said, this excellent book is not merely an updated version of the first one, but it is an entirely new book, packed with useful knowledge and entertaining stories. (About half of the book consists of stories, and in that respect it could be considered a sequel to The Game.) I found the stories quite funny and several times I laughed out loud while reading it.
The other half of the book contains teachings and step-by-step instructions on how to do pickup for yourself. The book is pretty comprehensive and includes new material on how to approach, how to build attraction, how to escalate physically, inner game, and many other useful tidbits. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. This may actually turn out to be the best book yet written on the subject.
